1. Why do I need to hire a collision reconstruction expert?
You need to hire a collision reconstruction expert to make sure that any traffic accident that you are involved in is investigated thoroughly and correctly.  Many traffic crashes result in serious injuries or fatalities or involve substantial property damage and result in civil action or criminal charges in court.  An expert from Precision Mapping and Reconstruction, LLC, can determine who should be liable for damages resulting from a crash.  We will also make sure that any criminal charges filed against you are warranted and the result of an accurate and complete investigation by law enforcement.

2. Why should I hire Precision Mapping and Reconstruction, LLC?
The answer is simple!  Our company will provide you with the best possible investigation and reconstruction services available.  At Precision Mapping and Reconstruction, LLC, our experts utilize state of the art technology combined with advanced physics and decades of police experience to determine who should be held responsible for a crash.  Our experts prepare professional reports and provide expert witness testimony in civil and criminal courts as well as at department of motor vehicle hearings.

3. How much does it cost to have an accident reconstructed?
We offer several different packages to meet the needs of our customers. Call or email Brad Booth for current rates.

4. What is the "BLACK BOX" inside my vehicle?
The "black box" is actually an event data recorder located inside your vehicle's airbag control module (ACM), power train control module (PCM) or similar component, that may be able to record electronic data related to a crash.  Some of the data that an event data recorder or "black box" might record includes pre-crash speed, pre-crash braking, steering input and seat belt status.  The amount and type of data that may be recorded depends on the year, model and make of your vehicle.  At Precision Mapping and Reconstruction, LLC, we have state of the art equipment including the Bosch Crash Data Retrieval Tool (CDR) that allows us to access this very important data and use it in the overall reconstruction process.

5. What is your coverage area?
At Precision Mapping and Reconstruction, LLC, we primarily investigate and reconstruct collisions that have occurred in the Midwest United States.  Our office is located in Rapid City, South Dakota.  We will travel outside of the area for an investigation on a case specific basis.
